About Reflexology
The roots of reflexology date back more than 4,000 years. It is commonly associated with ancient Chinese culture but actually can be traced back even further to Biblical Egypt during the reign of the pharaoh Ankhmahor (2,300 BC). In China, mention of a form of reflexology first appeared in the Zhou Dynasty (circa 1,000 BC) in a manual, The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine, and was the first reference to its connection of life forces to specific areas of the foot.
Today's modern reflexology is practiced throughout the world and is still used to stimulate various areas of the body from specific points in the feet. Bao Feet makes no medical claims, but customers do report a sense of overall calmness and tension relief. Plus, who doesn't enjoy a good foot massage?
